Taco Blogs in 2026

Every month I will be trying a local spot to see where one might get the best Tacos in the Metro Detroit area, where I currently reside. Please leave your favorite spots in the comments on the blogs and I may just decide to check out the place.

What I will judge is going to be if the place has an al pastor taco, carne asada, and their verde salsa all three of which are my staples when i go to a restaurant or get takeout. I like a corn tortilla with onions and cilantro, it should be light yet filling when I eat a taco. The takeaway that I will be trying to have is I would go back, I would run back, or I won’t be back. That is the scale, there may be a number but I promise to have some form of a recommendation of going to the place that I have tried. I won’t be mean, lets be clear these are going to be places that I believe make sense for some in certain circumstances, but there may be a reason I don’t believe it is worth going to, maybe distance traveled or a bad day was had but understand this, local mom and pop shops are always better to go visit than chains with multi million marketing budgets that know exactly what we want to hear. The experience is always better even when it is not, I would take a bad experience over the bland soulless experience of a chain restaurant.
