First Detroit Pizza Review of 2026
Sorry about the delay but here we go into the Pizza Reviews of 2026, kicking us off is….
Palazzo Di Pizza
As the first Pizza place I had to come up with a way to judge, so i started to figure out what I should be using to judge. about five minutes in I ended up giving up on this and said eh I’ll figure it out as I go. So I ordered a pizza from Palazzo Di Pizza and tried to get a unique pizza. What I ordered came with Pepperoni, ricotta, red pepper flakes, and hot honey. The Detroit style pizza had a pronounced cheese crust that executed flavor in a way that you may think it was the star of the show but the slightly sweet sauce was very much the component that kicked this dish off. The spice of the honey and the red pepper flakes made it a nice offset of flavors on the palate. The Pepperoni was very telling that they had tried a few Pepperonis before deciding on this one to top their pies, the ricotta worked its way into each bite as a creamy addition to the cheese already on the pizza. There wasn’t too much to say about the dough but what stuck out was crispy and flavorful.
I can whole hearted recommend this as a pizza place, its takeout and they have a small counter of gelato. which I may have been missing from the first visit and I may need to go back. Get the ricotta pizza but the pizza that I had my eyes on was the spicy pepper pie, which I will pick up next time I go back and get a bit of gelato.
