Burger King New Steakhouse Burger
It has the title worthy of a burger that demands respect, but does it back up those claims? Anyone can slap a name on the sign but very few times has this joke of a franchise actually been able to deliver on anything, empty promises over and over make this the most mediocre at best chain in the world. The burger is described as the following:
“Burger King’s Steakhouse Bacon Whopper® features a ¼. lb.* flame-grilled beef patty, topped with crispy bacon, juicy tomatoes, crisp lettuce, melty Swiss cheese, and finished with signature steakhouse favorites – A.1. Sauce, Crispy Onions , and Creamy Peppercorn Aioli. *Weight based on pre-cooked patty.”
This is how i would describe it, a mix of emotions, not in the way where the heart is overcoming its hate but more along the lines of trying to sort through disappointment in oneself and anger in believing there would actually be a good product made. The patty is as dreadful as always, the taste reminds you of burnt burgers in the summertime mixed with chemicals. The A1 sauce was almost nonexistent for me, just a little twang on a few bites. The Aioli was overpowering though dominating every bite, they could have filled Detroit sized potholes with how much of it they slathered on this burger. The vegetables on this were serviceable, nothing truly repulsive about these.
Can we talk about the size of the whopper? It is a massive burger, I get that its part of its gimmick, but goodness gracious for fast food, having to use two hands is preposterous. In this day and age this burger is not worth the hit to your dignity, but the size will make it seem like a deal, which it is not.
